Mr. Jing Liu

Mr. Jing Liu is a senior consultant of Hui Zhong Law Firm, a Chinese law firm specialized in dispute resolution.
From 2008 to 2017 Mr. Liu served as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center (HKIAC). He also served on the Appointments Committee of the HKIAC from 2017 to 2019.

Before that Mr. Liu practiced for about ten years with Haiwen & Partners, a Chinese law firm, and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (Hong Kong), primarily handling China-related arbitrations and investment projects.
Mr. Liu started his arbitration career with the Secretariat of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) in the early 90s.

Mr. Liu is on the panel of arbitrators of Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC), Beijing International Arbitration Center (BIAC), CIETAC and several other Mainland China arbitration institutions.

Mr. Liu frequently acts as arbitrator (presiding arbitrator, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and emergency arbitrator) in arbitrations administered by the above Mainland China arbitration institutions, covering the fields of international sale of goods, construction, financial transaction, transportation, equity investment and others.

Mr. Liu also acts as co-arbitrator in several arbitrations administered by the HKIAC and as sole arbitrator in a HKIAC arbitration seated in the Mainland China.
