Professor Lu Song

Mr. LU Song is a professor emeritus of China Foreign Affairs University and an independent arbitrator.

Graduated from the Law Department of Peking University in 1982, he has taught law courses since 1986 at China Foreign Affairs University, later also at MIDS program of Geneva University and IADS program of Tsinghua Law School.

In 1989 he was admitted to practise Chinese law and began serving as an arbitrator. Mr. Lu has sat as arbitrator in over 500 arbitrations under the rules of CIETAC, BAC/BIAC, SCIA, SHIAC, HKIAC, SIAC, ICC, UNCITRAL and CAS.

He is currently an ICSID conciliator and a member of the International Commercial Expert Committee of the PRC Supreme People’s Court.

Mr. Lu has served as the national reporter of China for ICCA Handbook since 2008 and he is a co-founder of Beijing International Arbitration Forum (BIAF).
